Meet Karen

The person behind KarenTranslatesTech

I’m Karen — founder of Think4it LLC and KarenTranslatesTech (KTT), based in Sacramento.

Before this, I spent nearly 20 years translating complicated things into plain language: as a broadcast news producer at FOX40, running paid media for a statewide public agency, and later at iHeartMedia and Sagent Marketing. Every one of those jobs came down to the same skill — take something confusing and make it make sense to a real person, fast.

I started KTT because I kept watching smart, capable people get talked down to by tech support, or quietly give up on a device or account because nobody took the time to explain what was actually happening. That’s not how I work. When we fix something together, you leave knowing why it broke and how to handle it next time — not just relieved that it’s over.

A little about how I work: sessions happen over Zoom with screen-share, so I can see exactly what you’re seeing and walk you through it in real time — no waiting around for an appointment window, no need to find parking. It also means I can help you from anywhere, on your schedule.

How I work

I explain the why, every time. You should never leave a session more confused about how something works than when you started.

No upselling. I’m not selling you a device, a warranty, or a service you don’t need.

No judgment. There’s no such thing as a dumb question here.
